If you’re reading this, most probably you’re an Agatha Christie fan, and if you’re not, here’s a chance for you to start being one!
Her murder mysteries are always really good, and my personal favourite is “And then There Were None”. I’ve watched the movies as well, but honestly the books are so much better! *arent they always?*I haven’t watched any of her plays yet, and I’m excited for my first time!
This October 16th, Agatha Christies The Mousetrap murder mystery is scheduled to show at the Dewan Bandaraya Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur and will be featuring the West End, London cast! This is the first time they’re are gonna be staged in KL, and if you’re a humongous fan of murder mysteries, you just have to be there!
Lemme tell you a little about the history of the Mousetrap and why I’m so excited.
Its one of the world’s longest running play and this year, 2013, The Mousetrap will be celebrating its 60th anniversary! It has been played at the St Martin’s theatre for many years now. It is also the longest running show (of any type) of the modern era. *pssst* A secret! The play is also known for its twist ending in which the audience are usually asked not to reveal after leaving the theatre.
The plot ?
It is the winter of 1952 and seven people are stranded by a snowstorm at Monkswell Manor, a remote country guest house, cut off from the roads and from the phone. A policeman, Sergeant Trotter, manages to reach the house to warn them there has been a murder at a nearby farmhouse but, no sooner has he given his warning then, suddenly, an elderly guest is murdered. There are only six of them remaining and those six realize the truth – that one of them in the house is the murderer. Finally Sergeant Trotter believes he knows which of the six is the killer and he calls them together to set a trap which will reveal the identity of the murderer – but who is it and can he or she be found in time, before another murder is committed?
AND THE MURDERER IS…………………………………………………………………………………………..
