Nars Adult Swim (5)

Nars Baalbek Eye Paint

Nars Adult Swim (7)

Baalbek is one of the first items I swatched, and boy, am I glad I did! Baalbek is described as an intense shimmery bronze eye paint, which basically means that they can double up as either a gel eye liner or a base for your eye shadow.  I personally prefer using it as a base for my shadows since I like my liners to be a matte black, but that’s just my personal preference. For your reference though, I have used it as a gel liner in the pic below so that you can see how it looks on 🙂

Nars Iraklion Soft Touch Pencil

Nars Adult Swim (1)

Iraklion was one of my favourite items in the lot, which is very surprising considering the reviews out there for Iraklion weren’t too kind to it. It appears as a  beautiful tan brown with a pink undertone which is reminiscent of a champagne sheen (no glitter there!). Iraklion can double up as either your eye shadow base or a simple cream shadow. I use it as an eyeshadow and then feather it out & it gives me such a beautiful looking colour. I was initially worried that it will look too fair on my olive-y skin tone, but my worries was dissipated the moment I applied it!

The texture is great, its soft, but not too soft that you apply way to much of it (which sometimes happens to me and cream shadows), and it blends easily. The con of the Iraklion that gets so many reviewers out there booing it? It doesn’t last very long, and it creases within hours which is exactly what I faced as well. Too bad about that considering its a great product in all other aspects.

Nars Hot Sand Illuminator

Nars Adult Swim (3)

THIS. IS. DA. BOMB.

Nars have hit all my right spots with this soft peachy, rose quartz, champagne coloured liquid highlighter. The moment I applied this onto my cheekbones, I was like, woahhh ❤ I can haz cheekbones! The effect is so subtle, but definitely noticeable. It gives off that dewy glow that one always can appreciate in the hot summertime.

Swatches for your kind perusal 🙂

Nars Adult Swim (4)

This is a quick look I pulled off with the 3 products above, and topped of my lips with the Bourjois Rouge Edition in No 18. I realize that the lip colour is an autumn shade in a summer time post, but forgive me, I only own vampy, autumny or red lippies. What do you think though? Can you see how Hot Sand illuminates my nose bridge and cheekbones?

Nars Adult Swim (6)

A quick close up of Iraklion & Baalbek ❤ Not very noticeable, but I prefer the natural, sun-kissed, glowy look.

Nars Adult Swim (2)

Do you like any of the items from the Nars Summer Collection 2014? Have you purchased any yourself?

Let me know in the comments!
