[Review] Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque Lipsticks

Hey guys,

How have you been? Hope April has been good to you guys! ūüôā Personally, its been a really tiring month, physically & emotionally. Life¬†has¬†been going like a ship on a rocky wave, and sometimes I feel like it’s going to throw me off anytime. Oh well. With May comes spring, and I’m sure things will be much better then.

And speaking of better things coming my way, these landed in my mailbox recently. These are the newly launched¬†Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque Lipsticks. Now if you recall, I reviewed their predecessors, the¬†Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet¬†Lipsticks here and here. Those were matte liquid lipsticks, and I love them very very much ‚̧ I have 4 of the 8 shades for the velvet versions, and I plan to collect all 8 at some point when they’re in stock at the local Bourjois outlet.

Now these Aqua Laque’s are¬†supposed to be¬†a hybrid lipstick¬†which breaks all the rules of the lipstick rule book. Intriguing, I must admit. Lets see how well it fares. ūüėÄ

Optimized-Review Bourjois Aqua Laque (1)

What it is: A lipstick that combines a high concentration of water and Nymphea extract which has great moisturizing ability up to 10 hours, & contains all the elements necessary to achieve a light and extremely refreshing texture. There are 8 shades available in this range.

Lets talk packaging first. It’s almost identical to the Rouge Edition Velvets, except that the cap of the lipstick is metallic, chromic, shiny and reflects the colour of the product in it. The packaging actually looks quite luxurious. The applicator comes with a doe footed tip that actually applies the product quite well.

Optimized-Review Bourjois Aqua Laque (3)

Colour wise, I’ve got three shades for you guys today:

03 Brun’croyable : Described as a¬†brown,¬†not chestnut, with a hint¬†of red, pink¬†and caramel¬†for an¬†incredible¬†result.

05 Red My Lips : An intense red which oozes Femme Fatale at the stroke of a brush.

08 Babe Idole : A light pink that will turn you into the queen of pop!

Ingredients:  Aqua (Water), Octyldodecanol, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polybutene, Synthetic Wax, Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Acrylates Copolymer, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Hexyl Laurate, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Dibutyl Lauroyl Glutamide, Glyceryl Caprylate, Pentylene Glycol, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Zea May (Corn) Starch, Parfum (Fragrance), Tocopherol, Limonene, Caprylyl Glycol, Bht, Citric Acid, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate. [+/- (May Contain) : Mica, Ci 12085 (Red 36), Ci 15850 (Red 6), Ci 15850 (Red 7 Lake), Ci 15985 (Yellow 6 Lake), Ci 17200 (Red 33 Lake), Ci 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), Ci 42090 (Blue 1 Lake), Ci 45410 (Red 28 Lake), Ci 45380 (Red 22 Lake), Ci 73360 (Red 30 Lake), Ci 75470 (Carmine), Ci 77163 (Bismuth Oxychloride), Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77742 (Manganese Violet), Ci 17200 (Red 33), Ci 75130 (Beta-Carotene)].

Here’s the swatches of the 3 Aqua Laques.

From left:¬†03 Brun’croyable,¬†05 Red My Lips &¬†08 Babe Idole. As you can see, they are rather sheer when applied, and look rather glossy, like liquid lipsticks.¬†The¬†liquid texture is oh so smooth.

Optimized-Review Bourjois Aqua Laque (5)

I know you guys would like to see all the 8 colour shades in action, so here they are.
Pic sourced via lodoesmakeup.

Here are how they look on me! From left is 03, 08 and 05. I think my favourite shade is 05 simply because it’s the most pigmented of the lot.

Optimized-[Review] Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque Lipsticks

What I think:¬†The moment I¬†apply the lipstick, it feels like a cool burst of water on the lips. It feels like applying water onto my lips, just that this water is coloured, and is the tiniest bit sticky. It’s really light, so you feel like you’re wearing nothing on your lips. Although it promises to stay put on your lips, unfortunately that doesn’t ring true. Its lasts all of 2 hours on me before fading away, leaving a light stain, which is a bummer. If you do not mind the constant reapplication, good for you.¬†And since its texture is just like water, it doesn’t sink into the little cracks in your lips.

Pigmentation wise, the shade 03 & 08 are rather sheer, but 05 is quite pigmented. I usually apply 2 layers of the lipstick for optimum colour. It doesn’t dry up, but it doesn’t sit on the lips either. It kinda melts onto your lips and bonds to form a nice protective layer, which makes sense since I find that the lipsticks plump the lips so very slightly.

Application is a breeze, I basically just slap on some product using the applicator, though sometimes it can apply quite streaky. I usually go over with my finger to smoothen things out. Although it has a light feel, leaves a nice stain behind, I don’t particularly fancy the texture of the Aqua Laques. Call me traditional, but I like my lipsticks to be lipsticks, and liquid lipsticks to be what they are. The hybrid concept of things kind of befuddle me a little.¬†

Optimized-Review Bourjois Aqua Laque (2)

I guess to sum things up, I like the colours in the range, but the texture of the lippies themselves are a turn off for me. A matter of personal preference no doubt, but I’m not the biggest fan of them. Also I don’t fancy the fact that I would need to reapply them every couple of hours. Yes they are a new an amazing product, but the traditionalist in me doesn’t fancy them so much.¬†

Have you tried this product? Are you planning to give a lipstick lipgloss hybrid a try, or are you just a stick in the mud just like I am?

The Bourjois¬†Rouge Edition Aqua Laque retails¬†for RM45.50 (currently¬†at an introductory price of¬†RM42.80) With¬†any purchase of ¬†RM60 products at Watsons,¬†and an Rm80 purchase at the Sunway Pyramid outlet, you get a free mystery gift ūüôā

[Review] Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream

Hey lovely people!

So you know how I’ve been eating healthy, trying to exercise & generally lead a better life in order to get into a shape? If you missed that post, click here! Now, despite my best efforts, I still see stubborn cellulite on my thighs & bum :/ ¬†Since I started exercising, they have certainly reduced dramatically, but there still are¬†traces of them that¬†is kind of annoying. And to be perfectly honest, my cellulite bothers no one else except me lol, but since I do like my share of skirts, dresses & shorts, I’d love to have smoother & nicer looking pins, instead of dimpled & wrinkled looking thighs ‚̧

Right in the nick of time, the Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream landed in my mailbox! This product, which just recently launched in Malaysia promises to ensure cellulite looks less noticeable and skin that feels tighter, looks firmer and smoother.

Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream (1)

The cellulite gel cream (yes, gel cream!) contains glycolic acid, caffeine, argan oil, plus botanical and marine extracts and combines them into a powerful formula that visibly minimizes the appearance of stubborn cellulite and recaptures skin’s youthful appearance.

Usage Directions: Since this product is designed for the busy, young modern working woman, all one needs to do is to apply the lightweight gel cream twice a day to cellulite-prone areas, just like how we would a body lotion, massaging thoroughly into skin until fully absorbed.

According to Dr. Michelle Hines of the Mary Kay Skin and Clinical Research Laboratory, she says, “Since¬†cellulite is a major body concern of women worldwide, Mary Kay has¬†invested years of research into creating a product¬†that would give women the power to dramatically reduce its appearance.”

Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream (2)

“The TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel¬†Cream incorporates highly effective ingredients that target not only the look of stubborn cellulite but also the reasons¬†why it can become more noticeable. Like all Mary Kay products, it‚Äôs been thoroughly tested and proven to deliver the¬†results that women want.”

Personal Thoughts: First of all, let me start with the whole gel cream idea. The moment I pumped the product out, I loved that it was lightweight just like a gel, but smooth & velvety just like a cream. The product is¬†a light pink opaque gel, which smooths out & absorbs very quickly into the skin. Scent wise, it smells very much like the Dewberry perfume from The Body Shop, and I love it! ‚̧ I even got my girlfriends hooked onto the scent, and they agree that it smells bloody amazing! It smells like sour berries, floral, & sweet at the same time ūüôā ¬†Texture wise, it’s just like a lotion, and very light too.

I’ve been using this for about 6 weeks¬†now, and¬†so far my thoughts on the Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream are a little ambivalent. While I do like its scent, texture & concept, I didn’t really see it working for me.

For someone who has minimal cellulite like myself, I guess it would be fool-hardy to think a cream would be able to get rid of cellulite that even hard exercise can’t get rid of. For someone else who may have more cellulite than I do, I would assume this would work better & more efficiently on them. So if you do have a tonne of cellulite that you would want to get rid of, but just don’t have the time to up and go to the gym, you may want to give this a try. ūüėÄ

Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream (3)

Wrapping things up, who may like this? Someone with a lot of cellulite, but with no time to get rid of them. Who would not like this? People who have extra tough & stubborn cellulite, like me. *Le sigh* Also  the price tag is slightly hefty for most people as well.

The Mary Kay TimeWise Body Smooth-Action Cellulite Gel Cream retails for RM 180/177ml and is available from the Mary Kay website & their official direct sellers. For more info, the useful links are below.

My Sephora Wishlist

Hello boys & girls!

I have a quick post for you today, and its all about the magic that is Sephora! Truth is, Sephora is a mecca for a lot of beauty addicts alike, and I’m pretty sure most of us reading this article have been¬†guilty of¬†spending hour after hour, poring over each product & shelf that Sephora has to offer. The lovely¬†smell, the shiny products & colours galore just bring magic to my life ‚̧ Ok, I’m getting carried away, but you get my drift don’t you?

Pic via bangkok.com

And after countless trips to and from Sephora, its safe to say I have a long list of items I simply need in my life. But since I need to prioritize, I’ve compiled a mini wishlist of the things I really really want to have which¬†I think you guys would love them too. Now I’m aware that Sephora holds hundreds and hundreds of beauty brands, but I’d like¬†to pick a few items from their own beauty line, the Sephora Collection. ¬†The Sephora in-house brand holds makeup, bath & body products, skin care, tools & brushes, and much more. I’ve swatched enough to know that their products are just as good as any beauty line goes, so here goes my list!

The first item I’d like to try is the Sephora Cream Lip Stain. The thing is, I’ve heard rave reviews for this product, and I’ve also swatched it a few times during my multiple trips to Sephora, but yet to make a¬†purchase. Maybe I will soon enough once the paycheck comes in lol! And its only RM45, so it’s actually really inexpensive for an amazing product.

Item number¬†2¬†would be the¬†Sephora¬†Creamy Body Wash in the scent Vanilla. (RM22) I absolutely love scent scents, and Vanilla always tops the list in my books. Sephora has a whole range of scents to choose from, and I’ve been meaning¬†to pick up Vanilla & Mango for sometime now.¬†

And the last item 3, simply has to be the Sephora Natural Therapy Masks. (RM10 each) The Sephora Natural Therapy Masks always looked so tempting to me, and the whole range is simply humongous! I mean, From Pomegranate to Lingzhi to Ginseng, there’s something for everyone!

So those are the 3 items I’d like to try from the Sephora range, and please don’t get me started on the rest of the brands and my pickings from their ranges.¬†

Personally, I would never turn down the opportunity to head to Sephora and swatch to my heart’s delight, but I’ve gotten really lazy over the past year. To be honest, I really prefer shopping online to¬†avoid the heat, traffic jams and queues so thankfully, the¬†Sephora collection online¬†is now available on Zalora Malaysia too!!

Have a look, have a browse on Zalora, and tell me you’re not tempted to purchase any products like me. ūüėÄ

Do you have any Sephora favourites? If¬†you’ve been lemming for certain products, what are they? Let me know!

[Review] Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Waterproof Mascara

Hello my awesomesauces!

I have another Bourjois product to review today, so let’s get to it! To be perfectly honest, I have never picked up a Bourjois mascara before, simply because I never noticed them while I was busy ogling their foundations, blushes and lipsticks.

And now I’m just here thinking how could I have not noticed such an eye-catching, sleek, futuristic¬†,and classy packaging like that?

This is the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Waterproof Mascara (and yes, second with an “e”, just cause the French are so sexy that way!)

Optimized-Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Review (3)

Product Description: The product claims to have immediate coating upon application, a 16 our hold, and is easy to remove, despite being a waterproof mascara. It also claims to give lashes instant 360¬į volume while promising to be clump free.

The secret behind their claims?

Bourjois Mascara Brush Wand

The¬†unique brush with spherical bristles to wrap every lash with perfect volume. Now that’s a first isn’t it? The focus of the formula is va va voom volume, which we be viewing¬†in a bit ūüôā

PS: The tube contains 12 ml of product, just in case you needed that info. ūüėÄ

Optimized-Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Review (1)

Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Isopropyl Myristate, Parfum (Fragrance), Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Exyl Cinnamal.

Optimized-Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Review (4)

Personal Thoughts: The mascara applies on rather smoothly, with no clumping, as promised. In terms of volume, as you can see, one layer of the mascara gives a slight volume, which looks very natural. No one will even know you have mascara on! But if you’re looking for BIG BIG lashes, you may want to try something else. I like this mascara for every day use, ans considering that its waterproof, it’s the kind that will last you all day.

I’ve used this for a maximum of 12 hours, and it held up just fine. I know it promises 16 hours, but really, when does one wear mascara for 16 hours? ūüôā

Optimized-Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Review (2)

Long story short, this is the kind of mascara that you will want to have in your makeup bag for daily use if you’re the kind of girl who likes natural looking makeup. The packaging¬†looks super posh, that’s for one, and secondly, the mascara itself gives you that natural but better vibe. However, for ¬†the price of MYR 49.90 is a bit of a spend I would say, since most mascaras locally usually retail from MYR20 -MYR40 generally, so I would ask you to give this a swatch first before purchasing it.

[Review] Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder

Hello mah girls!

Me posting 2 posts in a¬†day? I believe this hasn’t happened since…? Oh golly I cant remember! I’ve been extra hardworking today with my blog posts, so lets jump into the review ūüôā

I recently got sent the Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder, and I just needed to tell you all about it!

PS: Have you guys noticed how all the brands are jumping onto the Naked Bandwagon? =_=”

Optimized-Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Review (3)

Product Description: Makeup so refreshingly light it melts right in, creating a fresh, even look. Our pressed powder blends so seamlessly with such a lightweight feel, you may forget you’re wearing any makeup at all. The powder evens skin tone with a non-cakey formula provides a shine-free finish and is available in 6 shades for varying skin tones. (Fair, Light, Medium, Medium Deep, Dark)

Personal Thoughts: The product comes in a sturdy white plastic packaging with 8 g of product.I received the product in the shade 030, Medium which is just right for my tanned skin. There is a small mirror enclosed, which is ideal for quick touch ups, but too tiny to see your whole face, lol! There is a sponge provided for product application, but the sponge is just too small to do much. The sponge actually distributes the product too thickly, and just doesn’t work with the product.

I find that the product applies better with a dense powder brush or a buffing brush. I usually use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush or the RT Powder brush.

Optimized-Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Review (1)

The powder is finely milled, and pressed to perfection. The texture is rather powder cream, because it doesn’t apply as¬†loosely as how a normal pressed powder would.

Upon application, there is definitely a more polished look. I usually use this as a setting powder after foundation application, and the coverage is definitely Naked. It doesn’t come off ¬†looking too made up, and skin looks its natural best.

I actually feel like I’m not having any powder on, cause you know how sometimes powder sits on¬†your skin and makes you feel all cakey and thick? Yeah. You don’t get that with this powder. I can’t vouch for the shine free part since my skin doesn’t get too oily most days, but the powder does fade off after 3-4 hours, and re-application is necessary. You can’t help that in a humid weather like ours.

Optimized-Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Review (2)

Product swatch as you can see above.

There isn’t any noticeable scent to the product, just your normal powdery scent. The powder washes off with water, which is normal, I don’t think they have invented waterproof powder, or have they?

I guess in a nutshell, it is a great¬†product to own if you prefer natural finishes. I’ve been using this product a lot recently simply because my skin is behaving recently, and I only need a light powder coverage to look smooth.¬†

And the best part? Its affordable too! Only RM39.90 at all local Revlon counters. One thing I’d like to say about Revlon which is amazing, is the fact that ALL¬†their product ranges cater to all skin tones. Malaysia doesn’t carry all the shades¬†most of the time, which is beyond comprehension to me, but they ARE available overseas.¬†Plus, Revlon makes great quality products, all the time!

Ingredients: Talc. Dimethicone. Zinc Stearate. Octyldodecyl Glycol Grapeseedate. Polyethylene. Saccharomyces/Iron Ferment. Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment. Saccharomyces/Silicon Ferment. Saccharomyces/Potassium Ferment. Saccharomyces/Zinc Ferment. Lecithin. Dimethiconol. Isododecane. Sorbic Acid. Methylparaben. May Contain: Mica. Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, 77492, 77499).

As usual, useful links here!

Do share with¬†me know what are your current powder favourites¬†at the moment ūüôā Do you use pressed powders?

[Review] Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream & 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream

Haroo awesomesauces!

If you recall my Instagram post a couple of days ago, I got¬†some Bourjois Paris¬†products and here is the review that you’ve been eagerly¬†waiting for! (or so I hope lol!)

You girls¬†know know much I love Bourjois, I absolutely love love love their foundations, and the Healthy Mix Serum has become my ultimate go to foundation ever since I’ve used them. Apart from their foundies, I also like the Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipsticks which has become a staple in my makeup bag these days. I really should review the foundations and lipsticks at some point. Ah well, that’s a story for another day.

¬†Today, I’ve got two items to talk about, which are the Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect CC Cream and the Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect CC ¬†Eye Cream.

Say hello to the star of today’s post!

Optimized-Bourjois CC Cream Eye Cream Review (5)

Now I need to put this out there, I’ve never been a big fan of BB creams, CC creams or whatever alphabet is available currently, and I usually prefer tinted moisturizers, or straight up foundations. I think I only own 2 BB creams, and one CC cream, all of which were either gifts or items sent for review considerations. I’m not sure why I stay away from these products, but I have a feeling its due to the whole skin care in my makeup idea that confuses me. ¬†For more thoughts & discussions on the matter, you can refer to Paris’s opinion here. ¬†http://www.mywomenstuff.com/2014/01/makeup-in-skincare/

The CC Eye Cream and CC Cream are apparently the latest additions to the Bourjois complexion range, and I recall they have been in the market for a fair few months now. They are a combination of skin care & makeup which promises 100% corrected complexion & hydrated skin throughout the day.

Optimized-Bourjois CC Cream Eye Cream Review (3)

The  CC Cream comes in a squeeze tube which contains 30 ml of product. I like the squeeze tube, but I did find that a little product tends to leak out when the tube is place horizontally, which is why I now keep it upside down  in my vanity. The product is rather runny which would explain the minor leakage.

The product comes in 4 shades, and the one I have today is in Num 33, Rose Beige which is a perfect shade for me. I love the fact that most of Bourjois face products come in the perfect shade for tanned skin like mine. Most drugstore products tend to forget the darker girl on the street :/

Bourjois 123 CC Cream Review

Product Description:  The CC Cream formula contains 3 new corrective pigments which are:

  • Apricot¬†pigments for anti-fatigue
  • Green pigments for anti-redness
  • White¬†pigments for anti-dark spots & pigmentation.

These ultra fine coloured pigments blend together into the skin, hiding blemishes and refining skin texture. Each shade has been developed with a shade of pink for a radiant make up result. The CC Cream also pampers the skin with its lightweight, oil free formula that suits all skin types.

  • The CC Cream contains¬†SPF 15 that protects against UV-B rays.
  • It also contains White Tea Extract with energizing properties for a more radiant skin & a healthy glow.
  • Plus, a low opacifying powder content¬†for a more radiant result and perfect blending

Personal Thoughts:¬†I apply the CC Cream with my Zoeva Silk Finish Brush, and since the texture is quite runny, it is easy to blend out. I wear it alone mostly, and I find that it can act as a base¬†to your foundation as well.¬†It gives your complexion a beautiful, glowing¬†finish that looks amazing. It dries dewy, which is a major plus point. It really is lightweight, but provides massive¬†coverage for a CC Cream! Definitely medium to almost high coverage. The shade of pink in the product definitely provides an enhanced glow, but for yellow toned skin, make sure you colour match yourself to ensure the product doesn’t look too peachy on your skin. The CC cream also lasts quite a while in our Malaysian weather, say 5-6 hours. The product suits all skin types since its oil free, and dry skinned ladies can benefit from the hydrating properties. I certainly did! ūüôā

One thing I should remind you girls, that makeup is never skin care 100%, so do apply your skin care as per usual and make sure to follow-up with sunscreen. Personally, despite any makeup containing SPF and skin care properties, I will always make sure I have proper sunscreen and skin care on.

CC Cream Ingredients:  Aqua (Water),Caprylyl Methicone,Dimethicone,Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate,Methyl Trimethicone,Peg-10 Dimethicone,Propanediol,Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate,Saccharide Isomerate,Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer,Disteardimonium Hectorite,Phenoxyethanol,Sodium Chloride,Bis-Peg/Ppg-14/14 Dimethicone,Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate,Parfum (Fragrance),Propylene Carbonate,Tocopheryl Acetate,Ethylhexylglycerin,Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract,Panthenol,Silica,Aluminum Hydroxide,Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone,Lysolecithin,Citric Acid,Sodium Citrate,Amyl Cinnamal,Bht,Peg/Ppg-18/18 Dimethicone,Triethoxycaprylylsilane,Pantolactone,Phenethyl Alcohol,Tocopherol,Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. [+/- (May Contain):Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide),Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides),Mica,Ci 77007 (Ultramarines),Ci 77288 (Chromium Oxide Greens)]

Optimized-Bourjois CC Cream Eye Cream Review (4)

The second item on the post today is the CC Eye Cream which comes in a tiny pencil like packaging with 1.5 ml of product. The tip is made of flexible silicone and makes application a breeze, plus hygienic too! The silicone tip actually ensures you don’t drag or catch onto the delicate under eye area while applying the product.

The CC Eye Cream comes in 3 shades, and the one I have is in num 22, Light Beige. Shade wise, num 22 is a little too light on me, and I would think that num 23 is too dark. Seems that I am somewhere in between those shades. #tannedskinproblems

Bourjois 123 CC Eye Cream Review

Product Description: An innovative and multi-action treatment concealer. It conceals, protects, brightens, and hydrates even the most sensitive eye area. It claims a refreshed, radiant and illuminating result. Similar to the CC Cream, it also promises 24 hours hydration, SPF 15, plus a lightweight texture. Its multi action formula, it conceals imperfections and dark circles, smooths wrinkles & fine lines, and fades out puffiness. The CC Eye Cream protect the fragile skin of the eye contour while correcting dark circles under the eyes. Suitable for all eyes, even sensitive eyes & contact lens wearers.

Personal Thoughts: As mentioned the product is a little too light on my skin, but after blending it doesn’t look too fair. After application, dark circles and eye bags doesn’t look so prominent anymore. Coverage is light to medium, and the texture dries dewy. It lasts about 6-7 hours, ¬†but I have a bad habit of constantly rubbing my eyes, so it creases on me. For you without the habit, I’m sure it will be fine ūüôā¬†

CC Eye Cream Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Dimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Propanediol, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Saccharide Isomerate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Sodium Potassium Aluminum Silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Bis-Peg/Ppg-14/14 Dimethicone, Propylene Carbonate, Silica, Parfum (Fragrance), Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Aluminum Hydroxide, Panthenol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Lysolecithin, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Bht, Peg/Ppg-18/18 Dimethicone, Amyl Cinnamal, Phenethyl Alcohol, Pantolactone, Tocopherol, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. [+/- (May Contain): Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides), Mica, Ci 77007 (Ultramarines)]

Swatches of the products:
Optimized-Bourjois CC Cream Eye Cream Review (1)

On me. Left, bare skin, right, CC Cream & CC Eye cream blended.

As you can see, dark circles appears¬†reduced ever so slightly, and my skin looks more even and toned after CC cream application. I think my skin looks great, but not looking too done up. Very natural looking, but better, lol! ¬†Do forgive mah bushy eyebrows ūüôā

Oh and by the way, both products are waterproof, as I found out while trying to get them off. Do use a makeup remover to get all the traces of your skin yeah? I use the Shu Eumura POREfinist Cleansing Oil and follow-up with my Vichy Normaderm Gel Cleanser as a double cleanse.

Scent wise, there isn’t an identifiable scent to the products, just your regular tinted moisturizer scent which doesn’t usually bother most people.
Optimized-Bourjois CC Cream Eye Cream Review (2)

For my local Malaysian ladies, the products above are currently on sale until 24th September 2014 at the Bourjois counters along with the Volume 1-Seconde Mascara.

123 Perfect CC Cream ‚Äď RM 45.90 (NP: RM 51.90)
123 Perfect CC Eye Cream ‚Äď RM 31.90 (NP: RM 35.90)

To recap, both are amazing products to have in your stash, and I would definitely suggest the products to any CC cream lovers out there! I am certainly a convert now ūüôā Just make sure you colour match yourself first yes?

Cremorlab @ Muse By Watsons

Haroo all you awesomesauces!

Guess what? I have a brand new skin care line to tell you all about¬†today! ¬†It hails all the way from the magical land of skincare that is Korea and is proudly named Cremorlab ūüėÄ This was my first introduction to the brand, and I would like to thank The Butterfly Project & Muse by Watsons for kindly extending the honour of me getting to know the brand a little more in-depth.

The launch of Cremorlab was organized at the only Muse by Watsons outlet in Malaysia at Sunway Pyramid.

Cremorlab’s tagline is “a new classic in hydration” which I think is simply marvelous. If you’ve read through many of my previous posts, I would have mentioned how important hydration is to the skin. Have a look at my Hydraluron review on the importance of hydrating your skin, which incidentally is from Muse by Watsons too, lol!

Muse Butterfly Project

The event started of with a  quick introduction from Amanda, the brand manager of Muse by Watsons (who has amazingly flawless skin which she attributes to Cremorlab) about Cremorlab & hydration, plus a presentation by Dr Koh Chuan Keng, a skin specialist invited to talk to us lucky ladies on the importance of hydration.

Amanda talked to us about the importance of moisturization, inside and out. Now as we all know, we need to keep or body hydrated on the inside with sufficient water, however topical moisturization is equally important. Hence we have all sorts of creams, moisturizers and potions that help add to that moisture level.

Picture below shows Dr. Koh on the kinds of foods that help add moisture to your skin.

By the way, did you know that there are only 100 legitimate skin specialists in Malaysia? The rest apparently are “so-called” skin specialists, but are not actually certified by the¬†Malaysian¬†board of Dermatology. You can look up the¬†official Malaysian¬†dermatologist list¬†¬†at¬†www.dermatology.org.my/dermatologist¬†.

You know how some presentations by guest speakers are always dreary and boring? Well this one wasn’t! I found myself laughing, and being very attentive which isn’t very typical of me if you must know. Dr Koh was really engaging and funny to boot. And not to mention how knowledgeable he was.

After the presentation, I managed to steal some of his time to talk a little bit more about my skin concerns, and even my hair loss since he is also expert in hair & nail health.

After the presentation, I had a poke through the Cremorlab counter at Muse. The Cremorlab counter was all decked in white with their bestseller products proudly on display.

All of the Cremorlab products contain their star main ingredient which is T.E.N, which stands for Thermal water therapy, Eco energy and Natural nourishment.  T.E.N. comes from the thermal waters in the Korean’s Gangwon Province, which is famous for its richness in minerals since it extracted from pristine water sources 1,100 meters underground.

You can read up a little more about the T.E.N benefits from the picture below.

While I playing around with the Cremorlab products, I came across this gem of a product which is the Cremorlab Fresh Water Gel [RM119.00] . It is a clear gel moisturizer, and once applied to your skin, provides an immediate layer of moisture protection that keeps skin supple. It contains natural Bulgarian rose oil also known as the queen of all essential oils, to provide soothing qualities.

This is actually one of their bestsellers, and I can definitely understand why. The moment I applied it to my skin, I felt a quick boost of moisture and my skin felt soft and supple almost immediately.

And of course, I must introduce you to the main highlight of the event, lol, the yummy refreshments.

One thing I’d like to point out was the fact that they served water instead of sweet juices which I really do appreciate. Most events usually serve up coffee, tea, or juices that dehydrate me, and¬†most times,¬†this girl just wants is her H2O.¬†Hydration for the win!
