Eyebrows on fleek.
Somehow that phrase annoys the crap out of me, but that’s what the kids these days say, eh, so dear old me here has to keep up, lol! Lets get talking about brows, so today I have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in the shade Dark Brown to review. Personally, I think brows are one of the most important features on someone as they tend to frame your face, and a bad brow job could literally ruin the way you look. (Yes I exaggerate, but you get my drift) Remember those brow-less celebrity memes? 😀
When I was about to initially purchase this, I was torn between the Brow Wiz & the Dipbrow Pomade, however I finally settled for the pomade since it wasn’t something very commonly seen. I mean we come across eyebrow products in the form of sticks, tints, but rarely do we see eyebrow pomades now do we? Also, I don’t have to mention that this was THE product to have back in 2014, and everyone and their grandmothers were raving about it, including famous celebs and renown make up artists.
Now this is how the pot looks like after I’ve used it for like almost a year or so, so please ignore the griminess of it. The pomade comes in 10 shades, so I picked up the one closest to my actual brow colour, so Dark Brown it was. Thankfully, swatches online proved helpful as these were purchased for me by a friend via BeautyBay.com if I recall correctly.
The product comes in a sturdy glass pot, containing 4g worth of pomade, which I tell you, will last a REALLY long time. The pomade feels like a creamy gel texture, very similar to a lot of eyeliner gels in the market, which allows you to define your eyebrow, as you would when forming an eyeliner wing. This product applies wet, yet once dry this sets to a smudge proof, and waterproof texture that lasts all day. And I mean all day. I’ve had days where I was running around like a mad crazy person, and my brows stayed put, despite the sweat, humidity, and even rain mind you.
How I use it is I basically load a sharp angled brush with some product, just a little, as the pomade is super pigmented, so you really only need a tiny bit, and start drawing and filling my brows in. Once I’ve done that, I use a spoolie brush to soften the harsh edges and to make them look more natural. Once thats done, I run over the brows with some clear brow gel, Currently I’m using the Essence Brow Gel which is uhmazing!
With Dipbrow, I find my brows are sculpted better and have a much more defined looking shape, that takes way less time to achieve than when using a powder.

I was literally rushing out the door as I took these before and after shots, and I did my brows in all of 2 minutes, and look how much better they look already. Seriously guys, I am in love with the Dipbrow Pomade. I’m never switching brow products, ever. In these pictures, I didn’t go over the brow with a concealer to sharpen the brows up.
Foundation I’m using: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Would I recommend this? Yes, of course! I wouldn’t be writing about it if I didn’t 😀 It is a simple product to use, no rocket science required, it takes just a few minutes for perfect brows, and it lasts all day long. Now what more could a girl need?
Have you guys tried the Dipbrow Pomade before? If no, what are your current go to brow products? Let me know in the comments ❤
Until I see you guys again 🙂
