[Product Launch] Getting to Know 3CE & the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly

Annyeonghaseyo errbody!

Hello from Korea! ūüôā Nahh, I kid lol. Am still here in the land of the 1MBD debts & the Sedition Act fol. Anyway, so you guys know how much I love¬†makeup right? But through out my many trials and errors of the many brands out there, I’ve never ever¬†found myself¬†fancying Korean makeup. Korean skincare, I love, but makeup? I have my concerns. First of all, the colour range in Korean brands¬†never suit me, ever. The bane of having darker skin in a big big Asian world. Second of all, a lot of times their packaging are too cutesy and pink for my liking. (Hello Etude House!) And finally, I never could get past the fact that Korean makeup brands or more like the Korean community have always came up with weird and strange standards of beauty. Think puffy eye bags, ullzang, aegyo sal. =_=”

So, it was with a hint of apprehension that I attended the recent event organized by The Butterfly Project & Muse By Watsons to get to know 3CE makeup & the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly (which isn’t a Korean brand fyi)

From left: 3-Concept Triple Eye Shadow, Shimmer Glow Bloc (RRP112), & the Duo Cover Concealer (RRP153)

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (8)

We had a quick intro to 3CE, and were told that¬†Muse By Watsons have just officially brought them into their store in Sunway Pyramid. Woohoo, 3CE fans rejoice! ‚̧ I swear everytime I go into the Muse store, my money just flies away ūüėÄ

Product: Glossing Waterful Foundation (RRP177) Check out Paris B’s review on it ūüėČ

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (2)

I had a chance to play around with their infamous lip pigments, (RRP 78) which I know is one of 3CE’s¬†best selling products! I really liked the lip pigments, and I think I’m going to pick up a few colours for myself soon. ‚̧ There are 7 shades available, including a pure white pigment that is used to lighten the darker¬†if need be.

¬†More pretty pictures just because I love taking pictures of makeup ‚̧ Oh and all pictures are credited to my trusty Samsung Galaxy Mega!¬†

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (3)

Apart from 3CE, we had the chance to discover the latest product in the Indeed Labs range, the¬†Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly.¬†(RRP 99/30ml)¬†It literally is the big sister of Hydraluron’s Moisture Serum, and acts as a topical moisturizer. I think its a really cool product from first impressions, because first of all, its in jelly form, and second of all, the moisturizer pump is one of a kind. Forgetful me failed¬†to take a picture of it in the excitement, but you can view more pics of the cool pump here. Yes, I have officially called a product pump “cool”.¬†

The moisture jelly contains¬†PatcH2O, a micro network moisture complex, which saturates the skin with fast-absorbing ingredients and Fucogel, which helps to form a protective film on the skin‚Äôs surface to defend against moisture evaporation.¬†At the same time, the hyaluronic acid in it works to help improve hydration levels and stimulate collagen production, leaving skin plump and with improved texture.¬†Its a product that’s best used together with¬†the moisture serum, so that¬†you get maximum hydration on the skin.¬†

If you spot with your eagle eye, the Eysilix tube has got me wanting more. Its actually an eye cream that helps to nourish and re-energise the skin around your eyes and contains 10 peptides tohelp to reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark circles while targeting fine lines and wrinkles. Imma get Eysilix soon!

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (4)

Next up, we have the 3CE Pore Silky Balm (RRP83), which is a makeup primer in solid form. This was a hit with me, I really loved the texture of the primer and how it sits on my skin. Its applied with a sponge, and you can blend with a brush, sponge, or even your fingers.

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (9)

Oh and the main highlight besides the skincare & makeup products was the food! The event was held at A Pie Thing, a cute little hipster-ish joint in Damansara Uptown. I highly recommend you guys to drop by, because their pies taste really good, and with huge portions too. Prices for dem¬†pies range from RM11.90-15.90 if I’m not mistaken.

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (10)

I got the Chicken & Mushroom Pie with mashed potato & peas. Omnomnomnom!

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (5)

While nomming, there was a quick demonstration by the 3CE makeup artist, showing us how to use the products to their best potential, correctly. Did you know that that the lip pigments can be used as cream blushes too? ūüôā

3CE & Indeed labs Moisture Jelly (7)

All in all, I had a great time with the girls, munching on pies, getting to know 3CE a little better, and I guess I’m not¬†so adverse to trying out Korean makeup moving forward, lol! Since I received some items from 3CE, I’ll give those a proper go and report back! And I’m going to be giving the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly a run as well, so I’ll keep you guys posted.¬†

[Review] Shizens Lip Tattoo

Hi & hello again my lovelies!

Welcome to the first post of mine in 2015! Glasses raised to a more successful & fruitful year ahead!¬†Lets start the year off with a brand & a certainly interesting product that I’ve yet to review before, the Shizens Lip Tattoo.

A little about the brand before we delve deeper into the review. A local Malaysian brand, Shizens believes that everyone possesses unique natural beauty that should not be concealed but is to be accentuated. Shizens believes that makeup & skin care should enhance ones confidence level by revealing their individual uniqueness. They offer skin care and cosmetic products produced by bountiful natural ingredients sourced worldwide that are suitable for various skin type to resolve one skin problems and to accentuate natural beauty.

Optimized-Review Shizens Lip Tattoo (3)

The Shizens Lip Tattoo is no different. Being one of their star products, the Lip Tattoo promises to add a spread of moisture and relieve the formation of fine lines.

Not only does it repair your lips, it helps to lighten dark pigmented lips and gradually turn them into a natural pink or rose tone.

Being “blessed” with slightly darker lip tones and fine lines on mah lips, this is definitely one product I’ve been meaning to try. The extra drop of moisture seems to be an added bonus for me personally! ūüôā

Packaging wise, it just screams luxe, luxe, luxe. The gold box, opens up like a treasure box to reveal a metallic tube top with a transparent casing. Opening up the tube, a doe foot applicator similar to a regular lip product applicator reveals the thick white product. The doe foot applicator provides a perfect touch and ease of spreading of the product. (evenly I might add)

Optimized-Review Shizens Lip Tattoo (2)

The product itself is slightly thick and white, very much like the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream, though not as thick or dissolve-able. There is no noticeable scent to the product as far as I could smell. Once applied, the product blends seamlessly into your lips. Swatches as per below. As you can see, there is a minor pink tinge. BUT, since lip products are applied onto your lips, lets see how it fares on the lips, shall we?

Optimized-Review Shizens Lip Tattoo (5)

The swatches below show the before and after picture. I do not have much fine lines to begin with, but I do have some beginning to form. (say hello to almost being 30!) The after picture shows that after application, lips are more moisturized, and the fine lines that I DO have are very much minimized!

There isn’t a sticky feeling upon application, nor is the product very thick. The product applies much like a simple watery material and absorbs & dissolves almost instantly, turning pink within a minute, though the pink and red varies between people. Some other beauty bloggers have reported a darker red than mine, lol!¬†I usually apply my lipstick/gloss after applying the lip tattoo and my lip¬†colour glides on much more smoothly and lips looks perfectly pouty with no lines whatsoever.

I use the product twice a day, once in the morning, and once at night. After a few days of using this product, I can notice lips feeling much softer, and fine lines diminishing.

Optimized-Review Shizens Lip Tattoo (6)

Here’s a derpy picture of me rocking the Shizens Lip Tattoo! ‚̧ I look forward to using this product for a longer period of time to see if it indeed does cure pigmented lips completely. ūüôā

Optimized-Review Shizens Lip Tattoo (4)

To sum things up, the Shizens Lip Tattoo is a great product to add to your routine if you suffer from fine lines or are in need to cure pigmented lips. The only con to this product is the hefty price tag, RM 168 for a minuscule amount of 8ml. ¬†Since Shizens and most of their products do fall in the more luxe price range, (hey we¬†are paying for packaging, no?) I’m sure you’d think once or twice before purchasing the product. If in doubt, visit the many Shizens outlets and give the product a go in real time. Also, try and ask for samples because what better way to decide¬†than sampling?

The Shizens Lip Tattoo retails for RM168/8ml at all Shizens beauty counters.

Cremorlab @ Muse By Watsons

Haroo all you awesomesauces!

Guess what? I have a brand new skin care line to tell you all about¬†today! ¬†It hails all the way from the magical land of skincare that is Korea and is proudly named Cremorlab ūüėÄ This was my first introduction to the brand, and I would like to thank The Butterfly Project & Muse by Watsons for kindly extending the honour of me getting to know the brand a little more in-depth.

The launch of Cremorlab was organized at the only Muse by Watsons outlet in Malaysia at Sunway Pyramid.

Cremorlab’s tagline is “a new classic in hydration” which I think is simply marvelous. If you’ve read through many of my previous posts, I would have mentioned how important hydration is to the skin. Have a look at my Hydraluron review on the importance of hydrating your skin, which incidentally is from Muse by Watsons too, lol!

The event on the day:  PS: Can you spot the girl in the green headband?

Muse Butterfly Project

The event started of with a  quick introduction from Amanda, the brand manager of Muse by Watsons (who has amazingly flawless skin which she attributes to Cremorlab) about Cremorlab & hydration, plus a presentation by Dr Koh Chuan Keng, a skin specialist invited to talk to us lucky ladies on the importance of hydration.

Amanda talked to us about the importance of moisturization, inside and out. Now as we all know, we need to keep or body hydrated on the inside with sufficient water, however topical moisturization is equally important. Hence we have all sorts of creams, moisturizers and potions that help add to that moisture level.

Picture below shows Dr. Koh on the kinds of foods that help add moisture to your skin.

By the way, did you know that there are only 100 legitimate skin specialists in Malaysia? The rest apparently are “so-called” skin specialists, but are not actually certified by the¬†Malaysian¬†board of Dermatology. You can look up the¬†official Malaysian¬†dermatologist list¬†¬†at¬†www.dermatology.org.my/dermatologist¬†.

You know how some presentations by guest speakers are always dreary and boring? Well this one wasn’t! I found myself laughing, and being very attentive which isn’t very typical of me if you must know. Dr Koh was really engaging and funny to boot. And not to mention how knowledgeable he was.

After the presentation, I managed to steal some of his time to talk a little bit more about my skin concerns, and even my hair loss since he is also expert in hair & nail health.

After the presentation, I had a poke through the Cremorlab counter at Muse. The Cremorlab counter was all decked in white with their bestseller products proudly on display.

The 3 new products in the Cremorlab range include the O2 Bubble Energizing Mask [RM99.00] , Long Lasting Perfect BB Cream [RM119.00] , and the Mineral Treatment Essence. [RM129.00]

All of the Cremorlab products contain their star main ingredient which is T.E.N, which stands for Thermal water therapy, Eco energy and Natural nourishment.  T.E.N. comes from the thermal waters in the Korean’s Gangwon Province, which is famous for its richness in minerals since it extracted from pristine water sources 1,100 meters underground.

You can read up a little more about the T.E.N benefits from the picture below.

While I playing around with the Cremorlab products, I came across this gem of a product which is the Cremorlab Fresh Water Gel [RM119.00] . It is a clear gel moisturizer, and once applied to your skin, provides an immediate layer of moisture protection that keeps skin supple. It contains natural Bulgarian rose oil also known as the queen of all essential oils, to provide soothing qualities.

This is actually one of their bestsellers, and I can definitely understand why. The moment I applied it to my skin, I felt a quick boost of moisture and my skin felt soft and supple almost immediately.

And of course, I must introduce you to the main highlight of the event, lol, the yummy refreshments.

One thing I’d like to point out was the fact that they served water instead of sweet juices which I really do appreciate. Most events usually serve up coffee, tea, or juices that dehydrate me, and¬†most times,¬†this girl just wants is her H2O.¬†Hydration for the win!

I enjoyed getting to meet Cremorlab and its amazing range of products, and I’m excited to give the Mineral Treatment Essence a trial run as soon as I can. Thank you so very much to Muse by Watson and TBP for inviting me for yet another marvelous day out, and I look forward to reviewing the products I took home ūüôā

Have you tried anything from Cremorlab? Let me know in the comments ūüôā

2014 Beauty Resolutions

Hello awesomesauces!

Its that time again where we say goodbye to the past year, look back fondly at all the ups and downs, and make resolutions for the upcoming year. I wrote a recent blog post about my 2014 wishlists, hopes, and dreams, and this post is something similar to that, only now, I’ll be writing about my beauty resolutions instead.

Gosh, I’ve got so many resolutions for 2014!

The Butterfly Project Malaysia in collaboration with YADAH Malaysia wants to know what my beauty resolutions for 2014 are too, so hop on the Shashay train and here we go!

shashay (2)

Now, if you haven’t experienced YADAH, you totally should! One of my favourites from them is the¬†Sweet Milky Tint, which they just released a few weeks back! YADAH’s beauty concept is all about organic, natural plant goodness, and a big no no to¬†artificial coloring, preservatives, chemicals, mineral oil, sulphates and animal extracts. ¬†Their ¬†botanical skincare range¬†products are¬†gentle yet effective.

All YADAH products are certified by the Korean FDA (Food and Drug Association) and they are formulated to be hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (doesn’t block pores) ¬†with a mixture of botanical ingredients that are natural, organic and some of their products even have Ecocert certification. Ecocert certification means that the products are¬†¬†manufactured by environmentally friendly processes, and that¬†95% of the total ingredients come from natural origin. WOW!

And YADAH has a major cute factor, have a look at the lil girl named Yadah in action!

shashay (1)

Too cute na?

Anyways, my beauty resolutions for 2014? I didn’t have to think too hard, since I knew my bad beauty habits all too well! ¬†I’m only going to promise myself 3 resolutions this year, if I have too many, whoossshh, there goes my resolutions down the drain.

1. Spending more time nurturing and taking care of my skin and body. I’m always in a rush, trying to be a Superwoman at work and ¬†at home, and sometimes, I’m just too exhausted to spend an extra 15 minutes to just give my skin the pampering it deserves. I think this includes more rest, sleep, and less stress. My skin and body definitely deserves better.
2. Eating right/healthy. This isn’t so much a beauty resolution, but I believe to look your best on the outside, you have to take care of your insides too. And in the quest to look amazing, eating the right things, and eating healthy will certainly be a plus point, and note to self, more water!
3. Choosing the right products. Sometimes we’re caught up in how a product looks, and and what they claim to do, that we fail to see what it is exactly we are using on delicate skin and body. Its high time I start looking beyond the packaging, and to shift to more natural, less chemical based products, and I’m sure my skin will thank me in the long run.Brands like Yadah are certainly going to be my go to products from now on since they offer natural goodness and organic products! Yay to going GREEN!!

Lets see if I manage to keep my promises this year.

I cant wait to experience the hands-on session and discover more about Yadah skincare and cosmetics this coming January. It will be an awesome way to start of my new year, and another chance to be around the lovely butterflies!

Have you decided what your beauty resolutions are for this year? Let me know!
