[Review] Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Removes More Than Just Eye Makeup

Hello awesome people!

I figured that I’d take a break from all the make-up reviewing, and stop for a moment to show you guys the products that I have been using to take my makeup off instead. All that grimy makeup has to be washed off at the end of the day, remember? ūüôā Please don’t ever go to bed with makeup on, you’ll just be wasting all the hard work put into your skin care regime. The spots, white heads & blackheads are just not worth it.

Just to share with you guys, my cleansing routine usually goes something along the lines of this:

  1. If I’m strapped for time, (which is almost all the time tbh) I use a cotton pad together with a makeup remover, and wipe off all my¬†makeup. Then I proceed to cleanse with my facial cleanser. (Currently using the Vichy Normaderm Gel Cleanser)
  2. Other times when I want to cleanse my makeup and take a shower in one go, I’ll use my cleansing oils, (Have been using Shu Uemura Porefinist Anti-shine Fresh Cleansing Oil for now) massage it into my face, & wash it off with water & face cleanser.
  3. And when I have extra time on hand, I like to take my own sweet time with a cleansing balm, massage it into my skin, and wipe it off with warm water and a face cloth. (My current cleansing balm is from Clarins, love it!)
  4. Even if I use a makeup remover, cleansing oil, or a cleansing balm, I always make sure to double cleanse, meaning I go over my skin for a second time with a facial cleanser, to get rid of all the oils, and any excess makeup that might still be clinging on for dear life.
  5. And in some rare cases, I’ve even triple cleansed too!
  6. And that’s its folks! *insert the nostalgic Looney Tunes cartoons here lol!*
  7. In any case if I’m¬†too sleepy, tired, or just plain ol lazy, I just use a makeup wipe! One day of not cleaning my skin to death wont kill me. ūüėÄ

[Review] Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 03 Strawberry Kiss

Haloo my peeps!

I’ve been on a slight spree recently, hauling makeup, clothing & random stuff before the price increases post GST, 1st April. 6% is no joke yo.

So along with a bunch of other stuff, I hauled the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in the shade 03 Strawberry Kiss. I wanted a few other shades too, but they were sold out, or either the testers had dried up. Yuck. Sephora, Y U NO put new testers? Anyways, I love my red lipsticks and I’m pretty sure you guys¬†must know it by now, but recently I’ve been picking up more pinks, purples & nudes for some reason. I like nude shades since they’re so work friendly, while purples for a night out just screams crazy rave party, and pinks just wanna have fun! Think Cyndi Lauper, lol!

Back to the Cream Lip Stain, as you may remember, I mentioned this product my Zalora Wishlist post. And I finally got it ‚̧ Ticking one item of the list, and now to tick off the next bazillion items on that list.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain Strawberry Kiss Review (1)

Product Description: A lip stain that provides beautiful, long-lasting color. This high-coverage lip product features avocado oil for a texture that transforms as you wear it: when applied, the initial cream texture becomes a silky, lightweight stain. Lips achieve stunning color and feel soft and comfortable.  Available in an array of rich shades, including both matte and satin finishes, with intense color that stays put.

Apparently this cream lip stain contains avocado oil that provides comfort and nutrition for lips, & also vitamin E that provides antioxidant properties. The lip stain is a combination of resins and jellifying agents that guarantee a no-transfer film for long term wear.

Strawberry Kiss is a matte bright pinky red, and dries to an absolute matte finish, which means it can be quite drying, so I usually layer a little lip balm before application. Packaging is your standard slim tube, doe foot tip, and the tip really helps with outlining and defining your lip shape. I’d recommend just using the doe foot tip instead of a brush for application, as the lippie dries to matte perfection within almost seconds.

Here’s a swatch of the lip stain. It dries matte as anything as you can see, and the vibrant pink is just absolutely gorgeous.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain Strawberry Kiss Review (2)

Ingredients: Isododecane, Dimethicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polybutene, Petrolatum, Cyclohexasiloxane, Kaolin, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Aroma (Flavor), Glyceryl Behenate/Eicosadioate, Propylene Carbonate, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Tocopherol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Benzyl Alcohol. May or may not contain (+/-): Mica, CI 15850 (Red 7 Lake), CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 15850 (Red 6), CI 42090 (Blue 1 Lake), CI 75470 (Carmine).

Personal thoughts: This is a decent lip cream, and definitely a much cheaper option that the Hourglass Opaque Rouges, though slightly pricier than the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. Quality wise, I would rate it a 6 on a scale of 10. It does give off a beautiful colour & stain, and lasts all day for almost 8-9 hours, withstanding oily food and such, but it does settle into my lines, and sometimes makes my lips look dry and chapped, though I don’t feel like my lips are dry at the time. And this is with a luscious coat of lip balm, mind you! I guess most matte lippies do that to you, but this one more so than the others.¬†

One thing that I do like about it is its scent. It smells vanilla-ish, leaning towards a butter cream frosting scent which I just love! Some people say it smells plastic-y, but I don’t smell plastic one bit. Is my nose not working then? #VeryCurious

Here’s how it looks on me. I absolutely love the pop of bright pink on my lips! And I’m wearing it¬†together with the Clinique Cheek Pop Blush ūüôā

Sephora Cream Lip Stain Strawberry Kiss Review (3)

Long story short, if you’d like a matte lip cream which doesn’t cost a bomb, you could give these a go. However, the NYX SMLC’s are much much better in terms of quality, and are way cheaper too. Now if only they were ever in stock at the Sephora outlets here, that would make my life a much better¬†place. The colour selection in the Sephora lip cream range is quite good too, with a whole range of pink, nudes, purples, reds and oranges, so the variety aspect is certainly covered. Repurchase from my end? Maybe I’ll pick up the red shade, just because I need all the reds I can find in my life, but other than that, maybe not.

Give it a go yourself, and tell me if you like it. Or have you tried this, and loved it more than I did?

[Review] A Pop of Colour with the Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop!

Hey girls!

I’ve got something very¬†pretty to review today, and I’m super excited to talk to you guys about it! Ok, so first of all, I have a weakness for pretty looking makeup, and when those pretty looking makeup happens to be blushes, I simply¬†cant say no to them! Which is why I picked up the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes while doing my weekly run to Sephora. Now these are very popular products in general, and I’ve seen and heard the raves aplenty. I figured I’d pick one up and see what I personally think about them ‚̧

There were 4 shades in the range to pick from, the four being¬†Plum Pop (a light¬†pink),¬†Berry Pop (deep berry pink),¬†Ginger Pop (an apricot terracotta),¬†Peach Pop. They sound like tasty drinks, don’t they? ūüôā I swatched all 4 in the range, and I picked up Peach Pop in the end. Based off online swatches, I thought Plum & Berry Pop would flatter me more, but I thought that they looked too pink on me. Actually to be perfectly honest, le jaan picked this shade out for me, and I’m surprised that he really does know his makeup since this shade suits me to a T. ūüėÄ

Optimized-Clinique Cheek Pop Peach Pop Review (5)

Product Description: Vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless. In a silky smooth, stay-true formula with shades for every skin tone. That just-pinched look, simply effortless.

The product packaging is transparent, which means you can see the shade & design contained within. The pan is about 4-5cm in diameter, which means that they’re not that huge in size, but trust me, less is more with these babies. It’s also easy to pop these (pun totally intended) blushes into a purse or clutch for a night out since they’re so small! Inside the casing, you get a beautiful Gerbera flower ‚̧ For more pretty Gerbera pictures, click here.

The most wonderful thing about the Gerbera design is that it stays intact¬†for a while. You can use them for at least a month plus before the design actually starts showing some wear. I took these pics after using the blush a few times, and they’re still very much¬†intact!

Peach Pop is a beautiful shade, which comes out as a light peachy coral colour with gold shimmer flecks. The shimmer is very subtle, and barely noticeable once applied, but gives you that warm glow for a flushed look. This is definitely one blush shade us tanner girls should keep an eye out for.

Optimized-Clinique Cheek Pop Peach Pop Review (2)

Just look how pretty it is ‚̧ ‚̧ ‚̧

These blushes are supposedly powder blushes, but they actually have a cream-to-powder texture and finish. When I swatched them, they certainly felt more cream than powdery. They apply & dry to a velvety finish, and they look rather matte to me.

I use them with a blush brush, like my Zoeva 126 Luxe Cheek Finish. Since the colour is builable anyway, I just dab & blend. Since these blushes are quite pigmented, make sure to go with a light hand, and only then build up the colour.

Optimized-Clinique Cheek Pop Peach Pop Review (3)

The blushes stay put for almost 6-7 hours on me, so no complaints from me on longevity.Blushes generally never stay on my skin for the whole day anyway. The weather, humidity & sometimes oiliness does make my makeup fade much faster than it should.

Optimized-Clinique Cheek Pop Peach Pop Review (4)

Here you go, swatches of all the four shades in the range! I think I’ll be picking up Berry Pop next, though the shade looks almost similar to the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush that I own.
Pic sourced via Blushing Noir.

Gotta love these pretty swatches ‚̧

And here is how Peach Pop looks on my skin tone. I like the coral shade on it, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t really like coral shades, mind you! But since coral flatters my skin tone the most, why not?

Optimized-Clinique Cheek Pop Peach Pop Review (1)

And a selfie to justify the purchase! Bear in mind that I’ve over applied it in this picture so that it looks more obvious on camera, but in real life, they give you a subtle glow & flush that looks quite natural.

Also, sorry for looking tired in the pic. I’m was¬†really exhausted after a whole day out. ūüôā

Optimized-Clinique Cheek Pop Blush Review

And guess what, we’re actually going to get 4 more new shades in this range soon! How exciting! They’re due to launch soon, though I don’t have exact dates for you guys.

I’ve definitely got my eye on Rosy Pop ‚̧

This is definitely a beautiful blush & product to own, and I don’t regret my purchase one bit, and I even want to add more shades to my makeup arsenal. And they’re really inexpensive too at RM80, considering that they last you a long, long time.¬†

What do you guys think? Have you tried the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushers? Love or hate them? Let me know!

My Sephora Wishlist

Hello boys & girls!

I have a quick post for you today, and its all about the magic that is Sephora! Truth is, Sephora is a mecca for a lot of beauty addicts alike, and I’m pretty sure most of us reading this article have been¬†guilty of¬†spending hour after hour, poring over each product & shelf that Sephora has to offer. The lovely¬†smell, the shiny products & colours galore just bring magic to my life ‚̧ Ok, I’m getting carried away, but you get my drift don’t you?

Pic via bangkok.com

And after countless trips to and from Sephora, its safe to say I have a long list of items I simply need in my life. But since I need to prioritize, I’ve compiled a mini wishlist of the things I really really want to have which¬†I think you guys would love them too. Now I’m aware that Sephora holds hundreds and hundreds of beauty brands, but I’d like¬†to pick a few items from their own beauty line, the Sephora Collection. ¬†The Sephora in-house brand holds makeup, bath & body products, skin care, tools & brushes, and much more. I’ve swatched enough to know that their products are just as good as any beauty line goes, so here goes my list!

The first item I’d like to try is the Sephora Cream Lip Stain. The thing is, I’ve heard rave reviews for this product, and I’ve also swatched it a few times during my multiple trips to Sephora, but yet to make a¬†purchase. Maybe I will soon enough once the paycheck comes in lol! And its only RM45, so it’s actually really inexpensive for an amazing product.

Item number¬†2¬†would be the¬†Sephora¬†Creamy Body Wash in the scent Vanilla. (RM22) I absolutely love scent scents, and Vanilla always tops the list in my books. Sephora has a whole range of scents to choose from, and I’ve been meaning¬†to pick up Vanilla & Mango for sometime now.¬†

And the last item 3, simply has to be the Sephora Natural Therapy Masks. (RM10 each) The Sephora Natural Therapy Masks always looked so tempting to me, and the whole range is simply humongous! I mean, From Pomegranate to Lingzhi to Ginseng, there’s something for everyone!

So those are the 3 items I’d like to try from the Sephora range, and please don’t get me started on the rest of the brands and my pickings from their ranges.¬†

Personally, I would never turn down the opportunity to head to Sephora and swatch to my heart’s delight, but I’ve gotten really lazy over the past year. To be honest, I really prefer shopping online to¬†avoid the heat, traffic jams and queues so thankfully, the¬†Sephora collection online¬†is now available on Zalora Malaysia too!!

Have a look, have a browse on Zalora, and tell me you’re not tempted to purchase any products like me. ūüėÄ

Do you have any Sephora favourites? If¬†you’ve been lemming for certain products, what are they? Let me know!

[Review] Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam & 200th Post Excitement!

200th Post!!! I cant believe I’ve actually written 200 legible, decent posts for the world to view, judge & read ‚̧ ¬†*Pats on my back* I promise to write more posts and to try & blog more frequently. Amen.

It seems that one¬†person¬†can’t get enough of lippies, and I’ll be the first to admit that I’m utterly obsessed with lipsticks, lip glosses & everything lip related in this world. Considering¬†this is my¬†third lip product review in a row for the past week, I can safely I’m an official lip addict now.

Nyx has been one of the more affordable brands available at Sephora, and the quality can rival any proper luxury brand. I’ve reviewed a couple of things from them, like the Shimmer Powders, eyeliners, liquid lipsticks, etc. I was never very keen on the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams so much, and despite all the raves, I steered clear from them.

I guess I finally caved in to the reviews, and so I bought the reddest of the lot for myself. The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams are available in 22 shades which you can check out here. Amsterdam, which is the one I have here is described as a true red, though on this camera & lighting it pictures as a slightly coral tone, weirdly enough.

Review Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream (5)

The packaging is pretty straightforward, a twist tube with a doe foot applicator which does the job of application¬†decently. There is 8ml of product in the tube, which personally lasted me all of 2 months. Yeap, I have officially hit tube on this, and I’ll tell you why in a bit ! ūüôā

Product Description: Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing. It is a highly pigmented, matte lip cream that allows you yo creates various matte lip looks & we love it for being delightfully creamy and lightweight.

Review Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream (3)

The lip cream does indeed dry to a matte finish, and I assure you, it is the least drying sort of matte you can ever get your hands on. Its so smooth, creamy, & soft! They stay on for 4-5 hours, and even after eating, drinking & gossiping, they leave your lips a beautifully stained.

And the most important reason why I love these? They smell like EFFING CUPCAKES! Imagine lacing your lips with a lipstick that smells like cake batter, cupcake frosting & melted butter, all at the same time. A swipe of the SMLC is all the dessert you need for the day. I confess to also occasionally, randomly opening the tube of SMLC during the day just to catch a whiff of the cupcake scent. And it has helped me with my sugar cravings too, lol! Everytime I feel like eating a bar of chocolate, I take a sniff of this instead!

That will explain how I’ve hit bottom on this tube of lip cream. I already have a backup of it, plus a couple of other shades as well, you know, just in case. ūüėČ

The scent does disappear after a while (le sigh), so for those of you who don’t feel like cupcakes (how could you not though??), not to fret, no scent is noticeable after 10 minutes or so.

Swatches of my veins for your viewing pleasure.

Review Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream (7)

The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams retail at RM26 at all local Sephora outlets, but do remember that the SMLC’s sell out like hot cakes, literally, so if you see it in stock somewhere, and you wondering if you should come back to get it, don’t. Just take this baby home, ASAP. You wont regret it.

Closing thoughts from me? I love this, and I will never, ever, say no to a Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream, ever again. And I solemnly swear to buy the whole range of shades for my personal pleasure.

Mischief Managed.

PS: Sorry if this post seems a little cheeky & nonsensical, I’m feeling slightly high on life today. Plus I’m on some meds, so that may have contributed to the high, haha.
Ok, Bye. (Please sing in Frozen tune for optimum humour)

[Review] Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon

Hello mah awesomesauces!

I have another Hourglass item to review today, so I’m just going to get into it. I got this off Sephora about a few months ago, the same time I got my¬†¬†Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. (which is amazing btw) Now I generally put in a bit of research before buying any sort of makeup, and ¬†based on¬†reviews I’ve read on the Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick was a bit of a 50/50. Some loved it to bits, while others, not so much.

Available in 9 beautiful shades ranging from pinks, to reds, corals & beige’s, these liquid lipsticks claim to be¬†richly pigmented, silky smooth and has a velvety matte lip color that delivers extended wear without flaking or dryness.

As a first purchase, I decided to go with a safe red, in the shade Icon, a true, classic red. It contains 3g of product, and is made in the USA. As all Hourglass products are, the Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipsticks are free of parabens, sulfates & not tested on animals.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Review Icon (5)

The product comes with a tiny doe foot applicator which makes application super easy. The applicator is somewhat like the Nyx Xtreme Shine Lip Creams.

Product Description:

  • Densely pigmented, silky smooth and lightweight formula glides on without tackiness, and sets to a modern matte finish.
  • Opaque coverage creates bold, vibrant and dramatic-looking lips.
  • Contains a breathable film of intense pigment that instantly bonds to the lips and treats them with skin-conditioning¬†emollients, fruit extracts and vitamins:¬†Cili Fruit and Goji Berry extracts offer anti-oxidant protection
Vitamins A, C and E nourish and protect lips throughout the day.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Review Icon (4)

Packaging wise, the tube is tiny, really. It literally is as small as my palm, and I already have relatively small hands. For USD 28, I’d expect more product to be honest. The tube itself is plastic, made to look like gunmetal, similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Packaging. The tube twists up to reveal the product and applicator, and twists down with a very satisfying click at the close.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Review Icon (1)

Personal Thoughts: ¬†The lipstick¬†is definitely richly pigmented, I cant argue that. One swipe and I was in love! The product¬†glided on so smoothly, and dried within a minute to a velvet powdery finish. There was no tackiness whatsoever associated with liquid lipsticks, the matte finish was not drying to my lips at all. I can’t vouch for the¬†skin-conditioning emollients or anti-oxidant protection since this is a lipstick I whip out very occasionally for date nights, or a special event.

One thing I do love about the Opaque Rouge range is the fact that it doesn’t transfer to clothing or to skin easily. I wear red lips a lot, and alot of times, I have to be super super careful when I’m putting on, or taking off my clothes so that I¬†don’t stain my clothes red. Also, I love giving the random peck on the cheek to le jaan when we’re out, and I am almost never able to with a regular red lip. With this product? I think I can have a full make-out session and the colour¬†wont budge, lol!

Cons: Just 1. After say 6¬†hours, the colour flakes off a bit, and when I reapply, my lips¬†end up looking like I have too much product on, and even feels a little lumpy. I’ve experimented a bit, and the only way to get a proper application is to apply one THIN layer, and don’t reapply the whole day.¬†If I experience flakiness, I go over it with a lipstick/lip cream/lip gloss of another shade. I cant figure out a better way around it, unless you’re okay to remove the whole lip colour, and start from scratch. (ain’t nobody got time fer dat!)

Here are some shades for comparison. All colours have been swatched once down my arm.

From left : Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon, Too Faced Melted Liquefied Lipstick in Ruby, Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam, Topshop Lip Paint in Tallulah, & Nars Audacious Lipstick in Carmen.

Icon definitely stands out looking very matte and darker in shade compared to Tallulah or Ruby. Matte-ness wise, Icon is more matte than the Nyx SMLC, though I feel that the Nyx SMLC is more moisturizing.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Review Icon

Ingredient list: Isododecane, Bis-Hydroxylauryl Dimethicone/Dpi Copolymer, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dicalcium Phosphate, Silica, Alumina, Isoceteth-10, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Rosa Roxburghi Fruit Extract, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Red 7 Lake (Ci 15850). May Contain (+/-): Red 6 (Ci 15850), Mica (Ci 77019), Yellow 5 Lake (Ci 19140), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, 77492, 77499), Red 28 Lake (Ci 45410), Blue 1 Lake (Ci 42090).

And here is a pic of me wearing the colour on one of my dates with le jaan, lol! I just took this picture off Instagram, so do excuse the filters.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Review Icon (3)

To sum the product up, if you have the extra budget for a luxury item, do give the Hourglass Opaque Rouge a shot. They have amazing pigmentation, apply easily, and the colour stays on almost all day. The only annoying thing is the flakiness issue that I’ve mentioned above, which you can definitely work around. I’ve actually went ahead and repurchased another shade recently, which I’ll talk about soon!

Have a great remaining weekend ‚̧

A Dish Of Bad Customer Service Anyone?

Haroo awesomesauces!

Yeap, we’re talking about THIS today. Bad Customer Service. You’ve seen it, experienced it, and now we’re gonna talk about it. This post has actually come about due to the fact that I have recently come across a couple of situations where I would love to beyotch-slap a few Sales Assistants (SA), or in today’s¬†case I dub¬†them Satans¬†Assistants .

Background first? I love shopping, you all know that about me already by now, and most times, I prefer to shop alone, only because shopping is my form of therapy and I don’t fancy having other people butting into my therapy session, LOL! And if I’m shopping over the weekend, I’m usually dressed very casually, my standard get up is my hot pants¬†and a top, with very minimal¬†make-up.¬†I don’t try very hard to look extra nice unless I have an event or a meet up with the girls. Hey its the weekend, let me be! ūüôā

Some of my favourite places to shop include Sephora, Sasa, MAC and most beauty & clothing stores. However, these days, I find myself stepping further and further a way from some of those afore-mentioned stores. I have no issues with Sephora at all, its my Mecca. I can browse all day and swatch to my heart’s content and no one will be following me around or constantly trying to push a product to me. Sephora SA’s are also really nice & friendly plus they are always there when you do need them.

Now lets talk about Sasa & MAC. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has experienced the rubbish MAC calls customer service right? A quick Google search of “bad customer service at mac cosmetics” tells me there are at least a thousands of women¬†out there who feel the same way I do. So what bad service am I talking about? MAC SA’s have a rap for being extremely snooty, condescending and downright rude. If you aren’t dressed to the nines, you risk being either completely ignored by them (which is fine by me), or you’ll be on the receiving end of their dirty looks. If they actually bother to speak to you, get ready for¬†their¬†¬†‘I’m holier than thou’ manner. Another thing is, if you come into the store in a big group, they sometimes do attend to you, however if you are alone like me, they prefer to pretend as if you’re wearing an invisibility cloak.¬†

MAC SA’s are very “made up & groomed”, and I know for a fact that their made up look comes from the MAC testers . Ugh. Half the time when I’m in MAC, the SA’s will be in front of the mirror, primping and preening with the testers, using the make-up brushes directly on their face & lipsticks directly on the lips. Oh gosh yuck. Remind yourself not to touch the testers at MAC okay? ¬†The same goes for Sasa SA’s. If you aren’t “made up and groomed” like them, prepare for their judging stares, LOL!

I usually go into MAC, and if I’m ignored, I’m okay with it. But when I actually need something, or if I decide to purchase something, and I’m still ignored, gurrlll you be messing with the wrong lady! I try not to be rude to them, no point fighting fire with fire, but I do get really sarcastic when I’m angry and annoyed , hence sometimes the SA’s¬†will elicit¬†responses like these from me.¬†“Hi, I’d like to buy one of these, but if you’re too busy putting your face on, I’ll be more than happy to come back when you’re done? Or maybe your manager will have time to assist me instead?”¬†Then you get them rushing over and fawning all over you. Disgusting.

Sasa on the other hand if full of Chinese speaking SA’s who seem to think everyone who comes into their stores are thieves and robbers. They follow you around, and the moment you touch something, their Spidey senses start to go on overdrive. The worst part of Sasa is that they gossip/talk ¬†about their customers in front of us. I speak Mandarin, so if they say something rude about me, I smile and start speaking¬†to them in Mandarin instead. I love the flabbergasted expression I get when I do that, LOL! ¬†ūüėČ

And that concludes the end of my rant. The sad thing is, I actually enjoy shopping, and these SA’s are ruining it for me. I am a person who spends a lot of money when I like something, and sometimes my decisions¬†can be swayed with good customer service. I’ve purchased stuff at smaller, more customer friendly stores, just because the SA’s were amazing, friendly, and kind ‚̧ If you don’t have¬†the courtesy to be nice to me, I WILL NOT shop from you.

To be fair, I’ll highlight the one good experience I had¬†at MAC Jusco Tebrau City. The SA was friendly, matched me with a correct shade of foundation¬†(which rarely happens), and even when I didn’t buy anything, she sent me off with a smile and a wave! Not sure if it was because she was actually nice, or if it was because le boyf was beside me. *He looks older and slightly¬†distinguished, so maybe she thought he had moolah to spend?* Either way, I went home a happy girl!

All I can say is, thank goodness for MAC online!

What do you think of the service you receive from these kinds of stores ? What is your favourite and least favourite store to shop at?
